The Pregnancy Place is designed to be a supportive, warm, non-commercial place for the trying to conceive and pregnancy community. The Pregnancy Place is a privately owned place, not a public forum. The Pregnancy Place moderating team will enforce these rules at its discretion to maintain its community standards.

Please read the following guidelines carefully. Note that these rules applies to our Forums, Private Message system, chat rooms, signature file and profile.

To ensure that our Forums realize their mission, we ask you to respect the following rules and guidelines:

1. CHANGES TO THE TERMS OF SERVICE:
   We may change these Terms of Service at any time. You can review the most current version of these terms by clicking on the "Terms of Service" hyperlink located at the bottom of our web pages. You are responsible for checking these terms periodically for changes. If you continue to use thepregnancyplace.com after we post changes to these Terms of Service, you are signifying your acceptance of the new terms.

2. COPYRIGHT:
   All content and graphics on The Pregnancy Place is copyrighted and must not be duplicated without written permission beforehand. All early pregnancy symptoms and TTC success stories posted become the property of The Pregnancy Place. Please do not take anything from The Pregnancy Place and use it on your own web site.

3. Tone and Respect:
   The tone on the boards should be fully supportive. Please refrain from posting judgmental or hurtful topics or replies. All users deserve support and encouragement regardless of the choices they make (for example natural versus medical, etc.). The Pregnancy Place requires that all posters refrain from using profane language or any other language that, at The Pregnancy Place sole discretion, is deemed false and/or defamatory, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, threatening, offensive, racist, invasive of a person's privacy, antagonistic or intentionally argumentative or otherwise objectionable. You agree not to engage in abuse, insults, slander, antagonism, arguments, name-calling, and ill-will directed towards The Pregnancy Place members, guides, moderators, staff and administrators or its service. Abuse reports are taken seriously to maintain a peaceful and supportive atmosphere. We reserve the right to revoke the access to our Boards to anyone committing abuse or repeated offenses at our sole discretion with or without notice.

4. Promotion of sites, products, ideas, etc.:
   Commercial postings of all kinds are prohibited. The selling of drugs, tests and other products, fertility related or not, is prohibited. Posting for the sole purpose of generating traffic to external sites (commercial or not) is also prohibited. Community members are asked to support and respect this vision and refrain from engaging in any kind of commercial activity, product, business or site promotion in the community boards, whether or not it is related to fertility and pregnancy. In addition, members are asked to refrain from targeting this community and its members for research or conducting focus groups for any purpose - academic, commercial or otherwise.

5. Links:
   The Pregnancy Place assumes no responsibility for the content provided on any pages linked from the boards. Please refrain from using redirection services (such as those to shrink urls) to post links.
   Posting links to other pregnancy related sites is also prohibited and may be removed at our discrection.

6. Spamming or attempts to collect personal information or posting of personal information:
   Spamming (multiple posts, messages or private messages (which can be viewed if deemed threatening) dealing with the promotion of a site, product or idea) is not tolerated. In addition, attempts to collect personal information from members (such as by asking for email addresses, posting an email address soliciting responses, posting phone numbers, etc.) is prohibited. In addition, "silent spamming" (ie, including a link, text or image to promote a site, product or business in your signature or anywhere in your posts) is not permitted. If you choose to share your email/home address or any other personal information, The Pregnancy Place assumes no responsibility for any unwanted contact or any further issues arising from such contact.

7. Posting of Copyrighted or Personal Material:
   We ask you to refrain from posting material that you are not authorized to reproduce or that is invasive of others' rights and privacy. This includes any copyrighted articles or other material, private messages and the content of private emails and letters as well as the personal information of others (email addresses, home addresses and phone numbers, etc).

8. Activism:
   We ask users to refrain from activism on the Boards. The Boards are meant to be a peaceful place where everyone can exchange personal experiences without imposing their ideas on others.

9. Language:
   We do not have the resources or organization to provide support or translations of our service in languages other than English. By respect for our community and to allow fair treatment in case of abuse, all posts, messages and chat sessions must be in English.

10. Impersonation:
    Members will not impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, The Pregnancy Place Administrators, moderators, guides or hosts, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.

11. Accounts:
    Members may have only one account or username. Multiple or second accounts or usernames will be closed without warning.
    Once you have registered an account, it cannot be deleted and will remain in our database. If you no longer wish to participate on the site, simply do not come back.

12. Account sharing or others using your account with or without your permission:
    You are responsible for keeping your password and username private. Sharing your account, username and password with others is not permitted.
    Posting material on behalf of a non paid member is also not permitted.
    The Pregnancy Place assumes no responsibility for the use of your account by third parties.

13. Discussion of Policy Decisions:
    The Pregnancy Place is receptive to ideas and feedback from our members and will consider all constructive feedback. We ask that policy decisions, including, but not limited to community management, not be debated on the boards. We also ask that you not post or otherwise submit invitations to The Pregnancy Place members to join other boards or messaging systems for this or other purposes. Insults or antagonism directed to volunteer moderators, guides and site administrators will not be tolerated under any circumstances. If you have comments or complaints about the boards management, please send your constructive feedback to us via one of our emails or private messages.

14. Objectionable material:
    The Pregnancy Place aims to maintain a supportive, warm community. We aim to keep the boards free from objectionable material and reserve the right to remove any such material. We are not, however, able to review every single message posted on the Boards and are under no obligation to remove material that you may find objectionable.

15. Member Disputes:
    You are solely responsible for your interactions with other Pregnancy Place members. The Pregnancy Place aims to maintain a peaceful and supportive environment and reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other members. Disputes can usually be avoided when members post with an awareness and respect for differing viewpoints and using a supportive, non-confrontational, non-judgemental tone.

16. Subscription Payment:
    The cost to join the site is $5.00 per month which will give you unlimited signatures, an avatar and ability to post up to 2 pictures per post.

    You subscribe through PayPal.
    At that time, the funds will automatically be withdrawn from your PayPal account. If there is not enough funds in your PayPal account, our system will attempt to withdrawal the funds from your credit card or bank account. The amount will be based on the subscription you have chosen. PayPal accounts are free so if you don't have one you can sign up for one on the PayPal page.
    (Note that your paypal account has to be verified by either credit card or bank account).
    Simply unsubscribe a day before your subscription is up if you no longer wish to remain.
    Payments will automatically come out each month or every three month depending on the subscription period you have chosen. You must unsubscribe yourself.

    You can cancel your subscription at any time by clicking here and then click on the unsubscribe button. You must unsubscribe yourself.

    Note that your subscription will show an extra 2 days to allow paypal to process your payment. If you cancel your subscription, you will not see these extra 2 days.

17. Miscellaneous:
    The Pregnancy Place may remove or edit any content to maintain its community standards or deemed at its sole discretion not to be in the best interest of the site and/or community for any reason. You cannot post The Pregnancy Place URL on any other site in a rude or objective way.

18. Enforcement:
    Failure to comply with the rules may result in the deletion of your content or the termination of your community access with or without warning at our sole discretion.

    While banning is done infrequently, and normally only after repeated offenses or an expression of unwillingness to follow the rules, it is irrevocable. If you try to circumvent a ban, we may take further action. If you post on behalf of a banned member, you may also be banned without notice or warning. If your community access has been terminated without warning or explanation, you may email us for an explanation, but we are not obligated to respond (people usually know why they are banned). We do not publicly discuss the details of what led to the termination of a third party's community access with community members for privacy reasons. We ask our members to respect this policy as well.

    In addition we reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account or set your account in "moderated mode" (posts will then require approval by moderators and user to user messages will be suspended) in case of abuse at our sole discretion.

    The Pregnancy Place's moderators and administrators make all reasonable attempts to ensure that the above guidelines are followed to maintain the safety, warmth and integrity of this community and its members. Due to the volume of daily posts, however, our moderators are not able to monitor every single message and as such you may from time to time come across messages that are not in accordance with these guidelines or that you find objectionable. While The Pregnancy Place maintains the right to enforce these rules, it is under no obligation to do so and assumes no liability for the content posted on the boards, whether or not they conform to the charter.

    The preceding rules may be modified from time to time. Continued use of The Pregnancy Place Boards by you will constitute your acceptance of any changes or revisions to this Agreement. Please refer to it regularly.

    By registering at The Pregnancy Place, you automatically agree to our terms and are automatically subscribed to our news letters. You can unsubscribe from these news letters by sending an email to admin@thepregnancyplace.com with unsubscribe in the subject.

    Payments once started are generally non refundable. In specific cases we will grant refunds of the last payment wihin 30 days of purchase at our administrators discretion. Please note that we do not offer refunds in case of pregnancy before the end of your term.
    We reserve the right to remove any subscription time remaining on your account if we feel to do so.
    We are not responsible if our server goes down for any given time.
